Located on 655 acres, Big Lagoon State Park sits on the northern shoreline of Big Lagoon, offering visitors a full array of recreation opportunities among the marshes and pine flatwoods, along with boat and kayak rentals. Crabbing is an especially popular activity and is a great way to spend some time by the water.

A popular location for boating and fishing, Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park provides a double-lane boat ramp for easy access to Rocky Bayou and the bay beyond. Try hiking, biking, picnicking, canoeing/kayaking and wildlife viewing along with full-facility camping under shaded campgrounds.

With three miles of pristine white sand beaches and freshwater coastal dune lakes, Topsail Hill Preserve State Park has a wide range of natural communities ready to be explored. The campground is just a short walk, bike or tram ride away from the beach where visitors can swim, fish, sunbathe or beachcomb.

At Hillsborough River State Park, just north of Tampa, Class II rapids attract those with a sense of adventure but cater to beginner and experienced paddlers alike. For a more relaxed experience, try canoeing and kayaking, or hiking and biking through over seven miles of available nature trails. Full-facility, youth/group tent and primitive campgrounds provide options for overnight visitors.

Just 25 miles from Orlando's major attractions, Lake Louisa State Park is home to rolling hills, scenic landscapes and 13 gorgeous lakes for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Within the 4,500 acre park, 11 natural plant communities provide a diverse landscape to explore. Enjoy a variety of options for your stay, from more rustic RV or tent camping sites to cabins with all the amenities of home.

Visit one of the park's best kept secrets at Little Manatee River State Park. Be sure to explore the six-mile hiking trail loop set along the main river, which includes scrub ridges, marshes and plenty of wildlife.

Only 14 miles from Daytona Speedway and home to the endangered West Indian manatee sits Tomoka State Park. Visitors can camp next to the Halifax River with scenic marshes and live oak hammocks that flourish with wildlife. Tomoka is also a birders' paradise with over 160 species sighted.

Located at the headwaters of the Wekiva River, the beautiful vistas within Wekiwa Springs State Park are an outdoor enthusiast's dream. Hike, bike or horseback ride thirteen miles of trails or paddle the Wekiva River and Rock Springs Run. The park includes full-facility campgrounds as well as primitive sites.

Come see the vision of Cyrus Reed Teed's late 19th century utopia at Koreshan State Historic Site. Fish, picnic, boat and hike where Teed´s visionaries once lived. Take a leisurely paddle to the west and enjoy tall oak trees or for the more adventurous, paddle four miles downstream to Estero Bay. The park has a full-facility campground for overnight stays.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park provides a perfect backdrop for a day’s ride with paved and off-road multi-use trails. Navigate down the Loxahatchee River in a boat, canoe or kayak (all available for rental). Stay the night at one of two family friendly campgrounds or in a cabin right by the river.

Best known for its miles of off-road cycling trails, Oleta River State Park is Florida's largest urban park. Canoeists and kayakers can paddle the river to explore the amazing natural areas while beachgoers can soak up the sun on a beautiful sandy beach. Visitors can rent kayaks, canoes and bicycles. Saltwater fishing, picnics and hiking are also popular activities. The park has rustic, air-conditioned cabins and a youth campground available for overnight visitors.

Oscar Scherer State Park is home to the famous Florida scrub-jay, an imperiled species found only in Florida. Observe these magnificent creatures on 15 miles of nature trails. With select trails that are wheelchair accessible and bicycle friendly, exploration of this beautiful park is available to everyone. Fresh and saltwater fishing are available on the shores of Lake Osprey along with swimming, canoeing and kayaking. Ample camping opportunities are provided by the full-facility campground.
